Just After Drinking Milk, Are Those Milk Allergy Symptoms?Milk allergy symptoms occur just after you ate either milk, or a milk product. Sometimes when you experience a reaction it has to do with a lack of an enzyme in your body that assimilates milk, called Lactase. Lactose, the type of sugar that's in milk, needs an enzyme in order to break that down into glucose, so it can be utilized by your body. What causes allergies? Well, scientists argue a lot when they don't quite know. However, they know that our bodies sometimes get confused. There are systems that are designed to fight against invading particles. This system is called our 'immune system', which is actually not just one action, but many separate systems and parts that all, together, create their effect. When you look at a milk protein allergy, for example¡ WHY does milk cause problems. Well, if the problem isn't related to a missing lactase enzyme, then it probably means that our bodies got confused. Our immune system started thinking that the proteins in the milk were invading the body. A milk protein allergy is one where the body attacks the protein, thinking it is the body's enemy just as wheat allergies symptoms means that your body has started fighting wheat proteins, thinking that they were invading the body. Wheat allergy symptoms are there because our bodies mistook that wheat was an invading enemy. Sometimes our bodies even fight our own body cells. This is the reason for such things as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Some common food allergies are eggs, tomatoes, milk and milk products, wheat, wheat gluten, soy and many more. One of the milk allergy symptoms you might experience is post-nasal drip. There are other symptoms you might experience if you were having a milk allergy (or any allergic reaction to foods): hives, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, colic (babies), coughing, watery eyes, vomiting, wheezing, loose stools which might contain blood or mucus or itchy skin or a rash (sometimes around the mouth). Thus, 'milk allergy' is when you are allergic to milk protein, or milk, itself. Milk intolerance is when you don't have enough lactase enzyme to break down the milk into glucose. If you exhibit milk allergy symptoms, you should definitely NOT drink milk at all. Continued exposure to allergens can set up destructive processes in the body. Cells are destroyed and inflammation is the result. When you experience milk allergy symptoms, you should be aware that it's a signal that you should stop drinking milk and you should stop taking in milk products. Rarely, a thing called anaphylaxis can occur. This is when the airways narrow so much that you can't breathe. This is an extremely dangerous condition which must be dealt with immediately. The next stage is a thing called anaphylactic shock; then you die. Symptoms include constriction of the air passages, flushing of the face, itching, severe drops in blood pressure and shock. The person might faint. A milk allergy can be serious; so you should see a doctor immediately if you experience any severe milk allergy symptoms just after having drank milk. |
